Misinformed Monsters of the Mount;
Much water has followed from O.A.S.I.S. of time, and so many letters have poured in that I am motivated to once put pen to paper, and let you know what transpires.

Got a long letter from BERNARD LANGE, who writes to say he is now "Free lancing" for the Guardian doing all kinds of exciting things like the "Sunday Rap" and the Carnival Camp round up.
Bernard runs the Venture unit of 2nd Mount St. Benedict (we need a photo of him in Uniform to tickle the nostalgia).
He says the night editor of the Guardian is an old Mountie, will get his name for us.
Bernard recommends if you ever feel down and out, wet and droopy, like a soggy old curtain, just pull yourself together.
Bernard is also still coaching the Aqua Lads Swim Club, and is getting children of the Old Boys.
SEAN COSTELLO s son and STANLEY KERRY s daughter.
Need the address of both these guys? There is also Aqua Lasses!!!!

Mrs. Henderson just wrote me with the addresses of all the Henderson and Herrera Clans, so they have been put on the mailing list.

ALBERT KNOWLES (not even an old boy) has volunteered to contribute generously to the welfare of our periodical, and has passed on the valuable address of his old man, NOEL, who lives in Ontario. He has a son, MARK, at Ridley Collage St. Catherine, Ontario.

BRO. RON YEE-MON has passed on the address of:
MONSIGNOR JOHN MENDES he is Vicar General and at San F'do.
FR. VINCENT COMPTON is now at Point Fortin (Copperhead)
FR. DAVID OLIVIERRE is now in Belmont (The Big Fisherman).
He is sending new data on the New ABBOT HILDERBRAND for the next issue.

A lovely surprise letter from JERRY GOMES (Guyana) still fiddling with high flying objects; in the U.S.A.
Has 2 boys, MANNIE 16, WAYNE 12. Married 18 years, so they are both legit.
He spends some time in Antigua in March and met the Souls, All well.

Thought: Loose an hour in the morning and you will spend the rest of the day trying to catch up.
Some so called open minds should be closed for repairs.

From St. Lucia comes a letter from RICHARD JOHNSON giving me the whereabouts of his three brothers.
BERNARD (Flat Top) owns and operates a cold storage, and spends his free time fishing and boating.
CLAUDE (Flat Foot) is in England.
ANTHONY (Gabby) is in Northern California, owns his own Accounting Business in partnership with another C.P.A.
RICHARD (Bookie) runs the family Hardware Business.

CHARLES DEVAUX operates a Dairy producing Milk and Ice Cream. He is married with one daughter. KLIM milk is better then an udder.

Got a 7 page letter from LEARY O'CONNOR, thanks the good Lord he only writes once every 30 years.
GILLIAN and LEARY plan a long trip to Trinidad, U.S.A. and Canada this summer.
We really hope they make it out to the East Coast and have offered our Hospitality plus a free Lobster dinner. (Catch your own).
His Family:
KAREN 23, Degree in Social Work. Is Hostel Supervisor ant the Agricultural Collage and High School. Her boyfriend works there also.
ALLAN 22, works on Barrow Island, in the Oil Patch . Has motor bike, and just returned from an extensive trip in U.S.A. and trying to catch up with fan mail.
ANNIE MARIE 21, Diploma in Physical Education and works at the Catholic Girls Collage. Doing her Degree in Bachelor of Education, part time. Top sports woman, recently played touch football representing her State.
RORY 19, doing 2nd year Medical Technology, mucks around with his second hand Land Rover. Works at Barrow Island in the summer. Broke his leg in a motorbike accident, and wants to get another bike soon.
LISA 17, on her final year at school, saving up madly for a ski trip this winter, loves sports.

RICAHRD O'CONNOR, works for Woodside a company developing a big gas field on the Northwest Shelf. He is Snr. Drilling Tool pusher.
His wife ELSPETH is doing a Social Work Degree.
HIS FAMILY:
PHILIP 22, works for Dowell Schlumberger. He was in Trinidad and the Middle East, but is back in Queensland.
BERNARD 21, was an Apprentice Fitter in a Truck Body Plant, but now works on Barrow Island.
GEOFFREY 19, is studying Engineering at University.
TREVOR 11, still at school.

Mother's day special
THANKS MOM. You are always sure of your mother, Pray for her, specially is she is still here with you. You will never have another one like her. Love her when she is with you, not when she is long gone.
I always wish I had done more for mine.

Got a card from STANLEY FERGUSON; a real treasure, he has passed on ARTHUR DU BOULAY's (St. Lucia) Christmas letter.
We won't see Stanley this year as we have changed plans and will visit Trinidad and Barbados.

ARTHUR DU BOULAY 's son, FREDDIE was knocked down by a car in July last year and was paralyzed. He has made a miraculous recovery and is almost back to normal now.
FRANCIE, works as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at the Trinidad Union Club.
DANIELLE 11, still at school.
ARTHUR has started his own business at home and is looking for Agencies (I put him on to Delano who is in a similar boat). He is specializing in Security (Safes, Locks, etc.)
Last year they holidayed at Margarita Island (off Venezuela) and had a feast of sea food even the sea bathing was disappointing.
They plan to go to Aruba this year, Where is DENIS these days????

Heard that BENEDICT HUTTON's son RICHARD is up here are St. Mary's University, but he is on holidays now and I don't know if he will be back in September. Tell him to phone me 435-0909. Who has Benedict's address??

JOHN (J.D.) MILLER starts a new job this month, Tiffany Asphalt International, a Lubrication Oil Co. from Ohio with distribution in Canada. J.D. will be one of their Reps in Quebec.

GEOFFE PRADA just wrote to informed me that he too is back in the telecommunications business where he belongs.
Family :
CARLOS is doing his post graduate in Medicine.
RICARDO is after his BS and PHD in Chemistry in Belgium.
LISA is in the computer business in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela.
IRENE will be graduating in Architecture next year.
YLIANA is in her 4th year High School.

Marvellous surprise to get a letter from JOHN DARWENT, haven t heard from him for about 30 years.
Their weather has been very "freaky" since El Niqo showed his head.
He lives in U.S. and works in Peru.
He passed on MIKE SCOTT and PHILLIP SCOTT's addresses.
John has 5 boys and 4 girls plus 9 grand children.
(Real "Old Boy" ain't he?) He collects stamps.

PETER BERGASSSE wrote to say he sees Fr. Ildefonse when he comes to the Benedictine Convent in St. Lucia, also Fr. Maurice visits there as well.
All his kids are grown up (not Fr. Ildefonse, Peters) and his eldest son is due back in September to work as a chartered Accountant with his firm.
Passed on CHARLES DEVAUX's address and also ANTHONY FLOISSAC who runs his own Hotel and has 5 kids. Neither responsible for the other.
Peter sent a fabulous contribution to the continuation of O.A.S.I.S.

Got a letter from SANDY (BAHADOORSINGEN), SCIPIO SOODEN's wife with his subs, and they are in Barbados and have an apartment building on Worthing Beach, which is available are reasonable rates for Old Mounties.
They have 3 kids, NEYSHA 12, NATYA 11, and SACHA 3, (last one is a boy).
Sandy went to school at the Halifax Ladies Collage here, small world.
Scipio also has some business ties in Suruiname.

Got a lovely letter from CLIVE BETTENCOURT-GOMES , he is n longer in Costa Rica (lucky guy) he is in the UK. The O.A.S.I.S. brings fond memories back to him. He has 3 girls, all born in Costa Rica. He returned to Guyana and was appalled at the state the country is in. Clive has a sister in Barbados who lives next door to Clive Ince, amazing. He is a God Father to Trevor Evelyn's daughter, Simone.
Real a treat to be in touch wth him again.

ALAIN DEVAUX wrote to say he works with the Ministry of Agriculture in Quebec as a plant Pathologist doing research on diseases of major crops.
It's fascinating.
He and wife, PIERRETTE live in St. Hyacinths, Quebec.

Chris KROGH writes an epistle to enclose some most fabulous photos. (one here to get you excited).
Finds the O.A.S.I.S. welcome and interesting.
He is a real Home Body now and has 3 kids.
DALLISON 6, JOHNATHEN 4, and GYALLA 2.
So is a late starter but a hard worker.
JUDY, also has her son, MICHEL (by previous marriage). He is in school in Canada.
He says traffic is a chaos in Trinidad and it takes hours to get about.
His brother KEVIN (can't remember if he went to Mount) BALO went to Mount, and DOUGLAS, where are they?
Chris is still a keen actor and has been in a few productions in Trinidad lately.

BRO. FRANCIS still is involved with the Scouts and went on a super camp in February.

KITTY MARCUS works in the Abbey library now.

Well folks, that was quite a mouthful, but please keep writing as that is how I am able to get all the news. And thanks a lot, I love it.
